Congratulations, you have reached to the one & only Blog of its kind, the one like nothing else in the world, the one dedicated only to the art of “HOW WE CAN GOURMET”
Most of us thing that we are a gourmet people depending on our taste buds, actually somehow that’s not true, if we like a dish that doesn't mean that this dish is up to the gourmet standards, yes there is a standards that we should know about before trying any food, the standards will guide us to distinguish between the gourmet food and other food, & here we are about to launch those standards to the public.
This is Ahmad Mesawa, and I love to Gourmet since I was born.
Gourmet is an Art form of being able to tell what is the good food & what isn't, depending to the cultural standards, to be able to apply those cultural standards on the taste buds there is a missing link, & we should be able to recognize the criteria of linking the cultural standards to the taste buds, then we will end up having a Gourmet Standards.
While we do have a Food Writers, Food Tasters, Restaurant Critics & Competition Judges in the middle of lacking of the standards!
One of the first things to be done usually upon creating a new business is to create the standards of the basics that should be followed by workers who should apply to reach to certain quality level, in the same time we have a huge businesses which related to the most basic, the largest, the most essential business in the world which is the Food Business, I always wonder why nobody thought about it!
What should you expect?
In this Blog you will gain the knowledge about Gourmet eating around the world, & since the world is huge and the Food creations is an endless mission to all the creative chefs out there, it will be a continues effort to apply & to update those standards to each dish by itself.
This Blog will showcase the results of our researches and trials based on the international cultural differences of each Food we talk about, we will show the origin, the history behind it and the cultural differences in the same community & in other communities and development of the food based on the time and the location.
We will try to root every Food and follow the trails of development, by that we will be able to tell how this particular type of food should be to meet the Gourmet standards based on the local taste buds, then we will show the international root and trail to tell how was the food acceptance and expansion over the world to tell how it should be to meet the international Gourmet standards.
Accomplishments
I used to travel abroad allot (at least 3 times a year), & I always loved the Food knowledge which I get from the Chef in each restaurant I visit.
I worked in several Food places in Jeddah, such as the huge multiple restaurant resort “Bellagio” and to challenge my capabilities to work & learn about a sweet (which was my weakest link) in “Crunches” & in “Papa Bubble”, also I’m looking forward to have some courses in “Le Cordon Blue” in London & in Paris in 2015.

I've done private banquets presenting European, Asian & Arabian Food
Also I re-invented & represented some Arabic dishes in European & American presentation.
I participated in the largest TV Cooking competition in the world “Masterchef Arabia” and from thousands of cooks I won & qualified to the Top 20 who had the honor to cook in MasterChef Kitchen, then I withdraw because of a personal Emergency.
I also participated in the TV Show “Do you have an idea” which is the Turkish transformed to Arabic version of the originally American TV Show “Shark Tank” my team applied with the “Kids Cooking Academy” & we reached to finals until the show got canceled.

Knowing that I've started Restaurant Critics & Tips through (Gwalla) platform since around 2010, then they shut it down & I've lost all the information’s I posted there (that’s why I have several platforms right now).
